Patna: Magadh University vice chancellor Mohd Ishtiyaque on Thursday visited A N College and J D Women’s College where the Degree Part III (honours) answer books are being evaluated by the university teachers.
Ishtiaque, who expressed satisfaction with the ongoing evaluation work, said there was a need to maintain security at the centres where the teachers are working from 8am to 8pm each day.
OSD of Patna MU branch office Asha Singh said the VC interacted with the examiners and sought to know from them if they were facing any difficulty in carrying out the evaluation work. “The university is very keen to complete the evaluation work at the earliest and publish results of about 1.37 lakh examinees on time,” Singh said, adding that punitive action would be taken against those university and college teachers who did not join the evaluation work despite repeated reminders.
The OSD added that a three-tier system has been put in place at the two centralized evaluation centres to avoid any foul play. “Senior teachers of other universities have also joined the evaluation work,” she said .
Singh said the answer books of science and commerce streams are being evaluated at J D Women’s College and the answer books of arts are being evaluated at A N College. The university has also made two other centres, one at Gaya and the other at Nalanda, for carrying out evaluation work.
