Pole man rescued at last
A man who climbed an electric pole in Lekki area of Lagos State and refused to come down, has been rescued at last.
The agencies managed to bring the man down after he tried to use the cable on the pole to cut himself, and was rushed to the Eti-Osa Primary Healthcare Centre where he is currently receiving treatment.
The man who was seen perched on the pole early in the morning and claimed he would kill himself unless he was given the sum of N5 million, was later identified a Cameroonian by the name Fredrick Gino.
Gino whose state of mental health could not be immediately ascertained, allegedly told the LASEMA officials that he did not know how he got to Nigeria.
