Gujarat Congress to meet President Mukherjee to demand probe in alleged GSPC scam

GANDHINAGAR: Gujarat Congress party’s senior leaders will meet the President of India Pranab Mukherjee on Friday(May 6th) 2.00 pm at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to request him to take action against the then Gujarat chief minister and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in alleged Rs.20000 crore Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation(GSPC) scam. Congress will also demand from the President not to approve the Gujarat Education Council Bill also.
Congress had also recently disturb the Rajya Sabha proceedings over the GSPC issue when BJP increased noise over Augusta Westland helicopter deal alleging involvement of top Congress leaders.
On Friday Congress leaders like All India Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s political Secretary Ahmed Patel, state Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki, Leader of Opposition(LOP) in the state assembly Shankarsinh Vaghela and all Congress MLAs and MPs will meet the President.
