The SOS Children’s Villages of India received a donation of Rs 9. 95 lakh from Seagate, the global leader in data storage solutions, under its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

PUNE: The SOS Children’s Villages of India received a donation of Rs 9. 95 lakh from Seagate, the global leader in data storage solutions, under its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
At the event, employees of Seagate spent a fun-filled day at the village, conducting science experiments with the SOS children. The activities were designed to inform and engage the children and were geared towards enhancing their knowledge of scientific concepts and applications.
Expressing his admiration for the good work carried out, Milan Mulye, engineering director, Seagate said, “Seagate is committed to corporate social responsibility and helps address some of the many needs in our community.
Our engagement with SOS today will focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to build a stronger foundation for the childrens' future”.
Applauding the Seagate initiative, secretary general of the Villages said, “Initiatives like these offer great encouragement and support to our efforts towards improving lives of once parentless and vulnerable children. We are grateful for the support from Seagate. The sponsorship will help SOS reach its goals in providing quality education to our children in the Village. We look forward to more such employee engagement opportunities and a long term partnership from Seagate."
SOS Children’s Villages of India is a NGO committed to the care of once parentless and vulnerable children and to strengthening families and communities as a preventive measure in the fight against abandonment and social neglect.
