FIA claims recovery of Pakistanis from Turkey trafficker

LAHORE - FIA claimed to have secured the release of two people from human smugglers in Turkey, a spokesman said yesterday.

Irfan and Gulfam, residents of Gujramwala, sent illegally Zaman Arshad and Bilal to Turkey where they were held hostage by Danyal Butt, Hafiz Babar Mukhtar and Sohail Butt.

The FIA official said the relatives of victims made complaint to the agency whose official Waqar Awan, Javed Ghuman and others got the detainees released.

The agency arrested the alleged the accused in the country who contacted their accomplice abroad and secured the release.

Meanwhile, the FIA arrested two people allegedly involved in manufacturing of shoes illegally. Spokesman for FIA said that Naseer and Zahid owner of the company were arrested from Kot lakhpat area on the charges of making branded shoes illegally. The raiding team also recovered 1,250 shoes from them. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
