    How many of us want an endless summer holiday? Days of visiting new and interesting places, moments of awe and fun. We have a small suggestion to double your fun quotient this summer, why not take a road trip? This way you can experience many destinations during a single holiday. Here are some serious reasons you could consider:

    You are young (ain't we all are) and are obligated to do crazy things Ditch away your obligations to create some amazing memories. Nothing else says gIfm young, Ifm free, and I do what I want!h quite like a road trip does.

    Who doesnft need a vacation? You have the same routine day in and day out, and are now bored and stressed at the same time. Lets face it, laying by the pool for a week might be fun but it doesnft exactly do wonders for the soul. 

    Your friends would also agree that the best place to listen to music is while driving to a great destination. Making a playlist for a road trip is good fun. Play along as you zoom past.

    Take the quiet turns to learn a new way:

    Srinagar to Leh

    Leh-Ladakh is on the must-visit list of most travellers. Driving to Leh from Srinagar on road is an amazing experience as it offers some astounding views. The scenic contrasts in the changing colours of the mountains brings a factor of surprise. Before hitting the road to Leh, get a splendid view of the striking green meadows and the majestic valleys while paragliding over them is a totally different experience.

    Spend a day or two in the famous monasteries of Leh, to name a few Namgyal Tsemo and Thiksay

    Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Baderwah, Sanasar and Harwan (Srinagar). Witness the mesmerising hills, magical mountains and the pictorial valley of Frass, Kargil and lot more during this road trip. The journey is about 417 kms and takes approx 9-10 hours.

    Pit-stop:

    Kargil has a significant place in the Indian war history, it attracts a large number of tourists. Also, it is a haven for adventure enthusiasts as they can enjoy adventure sports such as trekking and mountaineering. During the month of May (Usually between May 9-21, 2016), Kargil plays host to an archery contest.

    Other major attractions of the Kargil region include Sani, Rangdum, Zongkhul, Stonday and Mulbekh Monastery. Built under the patronage of king Kanishka of the Kushan dynasty during the 1st century, Sani Monastery is one of the oldest sites in Ladakh. Come along!
