[Via Satellite 05-04-2016] Wireless backhaul optimization and acceleration company Sevis Systems has hired Christoph Fitih as vice president of sales for Africa. Currently based in Ghana, Fitih supports Sevis’ continued global expansion of its on-the-ground business and technical presence. Fitih has more than 18 years of multi-national and multi-cultural experience in the technology sector, including services to mobile operators and rural communities. Prior to joining Sevis, he served as VP of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at TECPL, and was a member of the management team that created this venture through an agreement with a major satellite company to promote, market, and sell 2G/3G small cell solutions.

Fitih has also held senior management and consulting positions of responsibility at U.S., U.K. and Ireland-based companies such as DataMi, Chelmsford, Parallel Wireless, Nashua, Altobridge, Viotech, and CAP Gemini, where he started his career in 1997 as senior managing consultant. He is also a member in the steering committee for the first Google.org Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centers in rural Africa that Camfed, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to eradicating poverty in Africa through the empowerment of young women, managed.
