Blessy to remake Thanmathra in Hindi

Blessy to remake Thanmathra in Hindi
After remaking films from Tamil and Telugu, Bollywood now seems to be eyeing Malayalam movies for its remakes. The Hindi versions of 'Salt N' Pepper' and 'Traffic' will hit theatres this year and the latest movie which is going to be remade is Blessy's National Award-winning 'Thanmathra'.
The acclaimed director himself will be helming the Bollywood remake. 'Right now, I am busy with the pre-production work of the film.
We are in discussions with several actors for the cast. I will make an official announcement once all details are confirmed,' says Blessy.
The 2005 release had Mohanlal playing the role of an honest government employee, whose life turns topsy-turvy after he is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. There have been rumours that Tamil actor Vikram is the front-runner to reprise the Mollywood superstar's role. However, Blessy denies it and says, 'We have not taken a decision yet.'
Incidentally, the filmmaker had earlier announced that he would be directing Prithviraj-starrer 'Aadujeevitham', which is based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by writer Benyamin. Blessy though informs us, 'My next project will be the Hindi remake of Thanmathra. I will only begin work on Aadujeevitham after that.'
