Madurai/Pattukottai: BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday said that Tamil Nadu could not progress under rule of DMK, AIADMK and Congress.
At the same time, he maintained that only NDA government could bring development in the state.
He alleged that AIADMK and DMK, which have ruled the state for decades, have "pulled down" the development graph.
Shah referred to various allegations of corruption against the two Dravidian parties besides BJP's arch-rival, Congress.
Attacking the previous Congress-led UPA government, Shah said, "There wasn't a place left where corruption didn't take place under UPA's rule in 10 years."
"AgustaWestland scam in air, Adarsh scam on land, coal scam beneath land, submarine scam in water and 2G scam in space, under UPA rule," he added, as per ANI.
"DMK (is facing allegations) in 2G spectrum allocation and aircel-maxis.. How many scams are there against DMK," he asked.
Targeting senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Shah said he and his son Karti "were also facing charges," in an apparent reference to the Aircel-Maxis deal.
Shah, who had last month called the AIADMK dispensation the "most corrupt government in the country," referred to the disproportionate assets case against its supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, now being heard in the Supreme Court.
"In AIADMK, there is a disproportionate assets case against Jayalalithaa," he said, as per PTI.
"The voters of Tamil Nadu have to decide in these Assembly polls if they wish to continue with politics of corruption and nepotism or they want to move to politics of development. The other three parties in the fray - be it AIADMK, DMK or the Congress - there are corruption cases against their leaders and they have been exploiting the state's citizens. On the other hand, it has been two years since BJP government has been in power at the Centre but there is not even one allegation of corruption," he said.
Noting that the nation's voters gave a "new direction" to the country's politics by electing a government with full majority under Narendra Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Shah said a similar change is needed in Tamil Nadu and instead of replacing AIADMK with DMK, people should elect a good government.
The Assembly election in the state will be held on May 16.
