MLA Kokernag, Abdul Rahim Rather, today chaired a Pubic Darbar at Kokernag which was attended by the people of various adjoining areas particularly Gujjar and other economically weaker sections.Several public deputations apprised the MLA about the problems confronting them and demanded for their speedy redressal especially related to construction of roads, supply of drinking water and ration.While replying to the demands and grievances of the people, the MLA assured the people that he would personally monitor the development of the area and would project their demands with the concerned quarters for their speedy redressal.
He assured the public that in the present year most of the hamlets of the area would be provided road connectivity while adequate number of teachers would also be posted in the schools of the area.Regarding the issues related to provision of safe drinking water electrification, the MLA said that he had already taken up the matter with the concerned engineers and would be solved in due course of time.Taking a strong note on the public distribution system and delay in ration distribution of the area, the MLA assured the public that he would bring the matter to the notice of concerned CAPD authorities so that ration is distribution in time every month and new ration cards are provided to families under on the NFSA.
