New Delhi, May 4 () Maize prices firmed up by Rs 30 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today due to increased demand from consuming industries. However, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety eased on subdued demand.

New Delhi, May 4 () Maize prices firmed up by Rs 30 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
However, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety eased on subdued demand.
Traders said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in maize prices.

In the national capital, maize rose by Rs 30 to Rs 1,400-1,410 per quintal.
On the other hand, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety eased to Rs 4,575-5,450 against last close of Rs 4,600-5,500 per quintal.

Wheat MP (desi) Rs 1,850-2,100, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 1,615-1,620, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 1,620-1,625, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 265, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 265, Roller flour mill Rs 850-860 (50 kg), Maida Rs 930-950 (50 kg) and Sooji Rs 980-990 (50 kg).
