Minister of State for Housing, Urban Development, Social Welfare and Health & Medical Education, Ms. Aseia Naqash today conducted an extensive tour of Soura Srinagar and took stock of various ongoing developmental works.Asiea said government led by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide good governance besides to generate employment avenues for the unemployed youth of the state. She said this while interacting with local youth and other people during her visit to various areas of the Soura.During her visit locals of Jenab Sahib Soura, Dawood Colony, Taploo Mohalla, Dar Mohalla and Sabzi Mandi apprised the Minister about the repair of inner roads in these areas so that people do not face difficulty.

The Minister assured them that their issues will be looked into on priority. She said requisite DPR will be prepared for development of road from Poly Clinic to Jenab Sahib Soura through Dawood Colony Chowk and Taploo Mohalla Chowk. She said the road will connect the inner areas of Soura along the banks of Anchaar lake and will help to check encroachment around the lake.Earlier, the Minister inspected works at Community Hall in Malik Sahib Soura. She directed the officials to expedite the work so that the construction is completed within the stipulated time.Minister also visited Girls Higher Secondary School Soura and took stock of the facilities available in the school. She also had an interaction with the students and encouraged them to take up studies seriously and use the facilities provided to them by the government.The Minister also visited Jenab Sahib Soura Shrine  and took stock of the arrangement put in place on the eve of Mehraj-ul-Aalam. She directed officials to ensure adequate facilities to the devotees. She was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone and other concerned officials.
