Media agency conglomerate Interpublic Group (IPG) Mediabrands India is launching its global mobile marketing agency Ansible in India in July. The agency, which works globally with companies such as CocaCola, Johnson & Johnson and Kia Motors, will be headed by Anjali Hegde who is currently the CEO of Reprise Media India, a unit of IPG.
"Ansible is backed by the strong technology of Mnet that will provide support to the mobile strategies for Indian clients," said Shashi Sinha, CEO, IPG Media brands India.


Mnet is an Australian technology company that was acquired by IPG. It offers the backend support to Ansible.
"Mobile phone is personal device which gives 24x7 access to my customer. Mobile marketing has been growing by 40% every year. Therefore, we are bringing Ansible to India. Our services will be available to all clients of IPG Mediabrands," said Hedge, who is in the process of setting up a team for Ansible in Gurgaon.

She added that the current size of mobile marketing in India is little over Rs 100 core.
IPG Mediabrands, formed globally in 2007, was launched in India in February 2012 by bringing the three group media agencies -- Lodestar UM, Initiative and BPN -- under one umbrella. It has digital agencies such as Interactive Avenues, Reprise Media, outdoor agency Rapport and several others.
