2 youths held for stabbing school student to death

Chennai: Police on Tuesday arrested two youths, including a juvenile, who stabbed Mohan, a 19-year-old school student, to death in Kancheepuram district a few days ago.
Police said Munivel, 19, and the juvenile had an altercation with Mohan during a cultural festival at their school.
Angry over the incident, the duo planned to stab him after the schhol fest.
Accordingly, they went out of the school in the middle of the function and brought a knife.
After the school event got over, they overpowered Mohan and stabbed him in the stomach.
Mohan was rushed to a private hospital in Kancheepuram where he was declared brought dead.
Police picked up the accused from a village near Vellore on Tuesday where they were hiding at a relative's house.
It was only after the police team landed there to arrest them did the relatives come to know that the duo had committed a murder.
