Michelin urged to end Israel omission
Israel has a vibrant food scene, melding flavours from Jewish immigrants around the world with local Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine
The leader of an organis-ation representing Jews across the world has asked the Michelin travel guide to evaluate Israeli restaurants with its famous rating system, implying that the decision to omit the country may be political.
In a letter to the Michelin Guide, World Jewish Congress president Ron Lauder said it was a "concerning omission" that Michelin did not have a guide to Israel.
