THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said the party would answer satisfactorily the question regarding Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan’s role after elections. In an interview to a Malayalam news channel, Mr Yechury said, “We are also concerned, the whole party is concerned. I mean the whole party will sit together and decide. There will be no problem.”
“I can assure you that there will be no problem. I am going battle by battle. This is a battle to win the elections,” he added.
Mr Yechury said the Chief Minister issue would come up only after LDF won the elections and formed the government. “Once the elections are over and if we win, which we will, we will sit and decide on the issue.
The CPM general secretary said whatever had happened was in the past and many corrective measures had been taken. Situation has improved considerably, he added.
