Tuesday morning was cloudy with a cold breeze. Towards afternoon, the sun put in a brief appearance before the clouds took over the sky again, making way for a pleasant evening.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the region will witness thunderstorms and dust storms this week. The met officials have also predicted a drop in the maximum temperature. However, nights will continue to be warm for most of the month.

“The maximum temperature is likely to fall by two to three degrees in the next few days, although the temperature will tend to increase until the monsoon reaches this part of the country. Both the minimum and maximum temperature in the region are above normal,” an IMD official said.

The Met department said the maximum temperature will remain around 39 degrees Celsius this week. The sky will remain cloudy and there is a possibility of rain. Doctors, meanwhile, have warned people to stay indoor during the day to avoid sunstroke.
