Being sexy comes naturally to Emily Ratajkowski, who channeled full-on Sophia Loren at Monday's Met Gala, courtesy of makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato.

"She's so sexy, isn't she? She's a great girl to work with because she's open to trying things. She let me play. She's a good girl, too. We're friends too. She's perfect. She opened the door in her bathrobe and wet hair and she's sexy and she knows it. She doesn't do anything to be sexy. It's just how she is," says Ceciliato.

Italian screen siren Loren was their inspiration. "Especially for eyeliner, of course," says Ceciliato. "When you have strong eyes, it's like baring your soul."

(In other news, Zac Posen's dress for Claire Danes literally stole the show last night -- watch our interview with him above.)

Ceciliato is a fan of Sisley (who isn't?) and started with the basics, massaging Black Rose Precious Oil into her skin, followed by Phyto-Teint Eclat Oil Free foundation in shade number. Then, he applied a dab of Phyto-Cernes Eclat Concealer under the eyes.

As for her eyes, Ratajkowski brought it, big time.

Step one: So Intense Liquid liner, extended outside of the eye, top and bottom and then connected. If you want your liner to be mistake-proof, here's a secret from the pros. First use powder with a brush and once you're happy with the shape, go over it with the liquid liner.

Step two: Apply the Phyto-Sourcils Perfect on the brows, to fill them in lightly.

Step three: Max out the mascara, applying three coats of So Intense Mascara.
