SC hears pleas over holding of entrance exams for MBBS, BDS by state govts, private med colleges

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) The Supreme Court today started hearing in the pleas of various state governments and private medical colleges, seeking its permission to hold pre-scheduled entrance exams for MBBS and BDS courses.
The apex court had earlier, in its last hearing on April 29, made it clear that the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEFT) would go as per the schedule on May 1 and July 24.
The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) is conducting the NEET examinations in the current year, only in English and Hindi.
