No artist has left “Taarak Mehta Ka…” since inception: Asit Modi

Not a single artist associated with sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” has left the show in the last eight years since it began, producer Asit Kumarr Modi said today.
The show, featuring popular characters like “Jetha”, “Daya”, “Tarak”, “Anjali” , “Bapuji” among others, is aired on Sab TV, and has completed over 1,900 episodes in the last eight years.
“My team, which is like a family has created a world record by producing over 1,900 episodes of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ uninterrupted in last 8 years,” Modi told reporters here.
Artists Munmun Dutta, who essays the role of ‘Babita’ and Tanuj Mahashadbe, who plays ‘Mr Iyer’, were present on the occasion.
“To my knowledge, never before such numbers of episodes of a serial have been produced,” he added.
“The crew’s specialty is that it works like a family. The same team worked in the first episode which is acting together now,” he added.
“No artist of our team has left ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ since its inception.”
According to Modi, he gives the artists a favourable atmosphere to work.
Munmun said their team was getting along well as nobody has any ego hassle.
