Youth Congress takes up campaign to bring Priyanka Vadra into active politics through social networking sites

ALLAHABAD: In run up to 2017 UP state assembly polls, the youth Congress leadership of Sangam city seems to be banking on social networking site i.e. Facebook and Twitter to bring Priyanka Varda into active politics to regain its old glory.
The youth brigade of Congress have already started a campaign asking party high command , not only make Priyanka Vadra as `star campaigner’ for party in next assembly election but also insisted that Priyanka Vadra should also contest from Phulpur in Allahabad.
The leaders have in fact uploaded a series of posters i.e. ‘ Didi Is Coming Soon in UP” and “ BJP, SP, BSP Ka Nahin Chalega Koi Pahra, UP Mai Congress Ka Priyanka Didi hai Chehra” on their own social networking accounts seeking support from masses.
General secretary, district congress, Haseeb Ahmad says “the congress leadership have already sought that Priyanka Vadra must be made party’s face in UP”. He further added “we had already apprised the core team of Prasant Kishore about city’s party leaders view during their stay in Allahabad”. He said “ campaign to bring priyanka in to state politics was started in May 2013 and for that, we had set up Priyanka Gandhi youth brigade” to connect with voters.
Haseeb, however, said “ If Priyanka Vadra becomes the face of party in 2017 assembly elections, party could do wonders and major of its opponents like BSP and SP would be biting the dust”.
He, however, said “ the campaign to bring Priyanka Vadra in UP “ has received an overwhelming response and many site visitors have posted likes on both facebook and twitters. Secondly, congress leaderships are also pursuing their leaders to take up the issue with party high command in New Delhi through whatsapp.
