Fiat To Introduce Super Palio Above Punto Hatchback
Fiat will be introducing an all-new model called the Super Palio in several markets. The Super Palio will be placed above the current generation Punto sold globally. Currently, Fiat has commenced testing of this vehicle and is expected to be launched in Brazil by 2017.
Codename for the Super Palio by Fiat is the X6H model. In terms of design, the Fiat Super Palio will not bear any resemblance to the current or next-gen Punto model. Both interior and exterior design of the model will be more premium.
The new Super Palio will receive new engine and transmission options from Fiat. Under the hood could be an optional 1.6-litre or 1.8-litre E.torQ engine with manual and automatic transmissions. Fiat could also introduce its 1.3-litre, three-cylinder GSE engine in the Super Palio.
Currently in India, Fiat offers its Punto hatchback in two avatars. The Punto Pure and Punto Evo models, both are targeted at Fiat enthusiasts in the country. Punto Pure has a subtle and pleasing persona while the Punto Evo is more aggressive and always ready to race.
