Aberdeen Asset Management H1 Pretax Profit Declines; Net Revenue Down 20%

Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (ADN.L) reported profit before tax of 98.8 million pounds for six months to 31 March 2016 compared to 185.4 million pounds, previous year. Profit to equity shareholders decreased to 70.6 million pound from 141.6 million pounds. Earnings per share was 5.4 pence compared to 10.7 pence.

Underlying profit before tax decreased year-over-year to 162.9 million pounds from 270.2 million pounds. Underlying earnings per share was 9.6 pence compared to 16.2 pence.

Net revenue decreased to 483.6 million pounds from 605.2 million pounds, previous year. Recurring fee income reduced to 482.1 million pounds from 601.8 million pounds.

The Board of Aberdeen has decided to pay an interim dividend of 7.5 pence per share, unchanged on the equivalent payment last year; the dividend will be paid on 16 June 2016 to qualifying shareholders on the register at 13 May 2016.
