A police officer, who allegedly stole more than a million dollars of bail money from the Wan Chai police station, is suspected to be in Macau.
Sources said the officer, an acting station sergeant, went to Macau after his duty ended. Bail money worth HK$1.07 million was found missing from report room's safe.
A police spokesman said the force has a standard procedure to handle bail money. He said the force is concerned.—RTHK
