Cabbie commits suicide

: A car driver committed suicide by hanging from a tree at an isolated place at Pahadishareef on city outskirts on Monday, the police said.

According to the police, A Bhaskar Reddy (30) of Netajinagar in Falaknuma was missing for the last 20 days. On Monday morning, his body was found hanging from a tree at Sri Ramnagar colony in Pahadishareef. “The man committed suicide by hanging from a tree by using his belt. His car was also parked nearby. Apparently, he stood on the car and tied the belt to the tree before ending his life,” the Pahadishareef police stated.

Body found

A B.Tech student was found dead under suspicious circumstances on the railway tracks at Shamshabad on Monday morning. Rishvanth who is pursuing B. Tech third year from Vardhaman College of Engineering in Shamshabad went to his native place Mahabubnagar four days ago. On Sunday, he left his home for the college. On Monday, morning his severed torso was found on the railway tracks at Gollapalli village. The police suspect that Rishvanth might have ended his life.

Man murdered

An unidentified man aged around 24 years was murdered at Abids on Sunday night, the police said. The man clad in blue jeans and T-shirt was found lying in a pool of blood near the BJP office by two police constables who were patrolling the area. “The killers smashed his head with a boulder,” Inspector Abid Road police station, A Gangaram said. Two special teams were formed to establish the identity of the man and nab the killers, the police said.

Cattle thief beaten to death

A man accused of stealing cattle from a dairy farm died after being beaten by a few villagers at Kandukur, 40 kilometres from here on Sunday night.

P Narsimha (35) of Maheshwaram village allegedly took away cattle belonging to one Srinivas Reddy on April 28. On noticing the missing cattle, Srinivas Reddy along with a few others searched for the animals and found them at Mankhal cattle market on Sunday. On enquiries, the person who put cattle on sale informed Srinivas that he bought the cattle from Narsimha. Later, Srinivas caught Narsimha and took him to the village and questioned him.

“Some persons beat Narsimha when he failed to give convincing replies.

He sustained injuries and died,” the Kandukur police said.

The police registered a case and are investigating.
