Harish Rao visits Degulvadi

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao along with Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy visited Degulwadi village in Kangti mandal on Monday and consoled the families that lost their kin in the electrocution incident that took place late Sunday night.

Mr. Harish while expressing condolences promised to see that such incident would not occur again.

He extended a compensation of Rs 6 lakh each to the families of victims.

Stating that that the government would firmly stand behind the families who lost their members, the Minister said that free education for the children of the deceased would be provided by the government and offered free treatment for those in the hospitals.

“It came to our notice that there are some problems of earthing hanging of power lines at residential areas posing threat to the people. Within one week the problems would be addressed and those responsible for it would be punished,” he told the gathering.
