The State government has appointed senior journalist Siddaraju, who was formerly with the Press Trust of India (PTI), as chairman of the Karnataka Media Academy.
The government issued an order on Monday.
Three-year term
Mr. Siddaraju, who took over from the former Chairman M.A. Ponappa, will serve a term of three years.
The other members in the academy are T.S. Ranganna (former journalist with The Hindu ), Rudranna Hartikote (chief reporter, Vijayavani) Shivakumar K. (The New Indian Express, Mysuru), and Muthu Nayakar (Bagalkot-based journalist).
