A six-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified person on Sunday evening when she was alone at her house at Gannaur village in Sonipat district.

Chandigarh: A six-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified person on Sunday evening when she was alone at her house at Gannaur village in Sonipat district. The accused entered the house when the girl's parents had gone for work.
The girl's father said she was bleeding and crying with pain when they returned home. She told her parents about how a person entered the house and raped her.
According to police, the accused had come on a motorcycle.
The girl was rushed to Sonipat civil hospital. As her condition deteriorated, she was rushed to Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Sonipat.
Police have started investigations after registering a case at Gannaur police station. "As of now we have identified the colour of the motorcycle on which the accused came. Further investigations are in progress," said Gannaur deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Om Prakash.
