Former Chief Minister (CM) Harish Rawat today said the Congress workers should work towards exposing the BJP before the people “for making a mockery of the democracy.”

He said the BJP was conspiring for long to impose President’s rule in the state but couldn’t find an opportunity. “No sooner they came across the vulnerability, they didn’t waste a moment to impose President’s rule in the state. They are on the back foot now after stern attitude of the court. The BJP is trying to usurp power by any means but it will not succeed in its nefarious designs,” he said.

Rawat said the BJP’s character and its working stood exposed. “People will show them the door in the next Assembly election. By imposing President’s rule, the BJP has betrayed people by taking the help of nine Congress rebel MLAs. It clearly indicates that the BJP was inclined towards using corrupt methods to come to power in the state,” he added.
