Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone's move to Inter is only a "matter of time", says former striker Ronaldo.
Current Inter boss Roberto Mancini has come under scrutiny after some poor results at the turn of the year and his side were beaten 2-0 by Lazio in Serie A on Sunday, with rumours continuing to link the Atleti coach to the job.
The Argentinian has previously said he would like to manage at the club where he spent two years during his playing career, and former team-mate Ronaldo believes the move will happen.
"I think Simeone to Inter is just a matter of time", he told Mediaset Premium.
"Mancini will still be the manager next season as Inter need consistency now. However, January and February results were scandalous, the five games without racking up one single point have influenced the whole season. You need to be consistent in order to win a title."
Inter director Dejan Stankovic agreed with the Brazil legend, but assured Mancini that his job was safe for the time being.
"This is already the fourth time we've talked about this," he also told the Italian news outlet.
"Perhaps a day will come when he arrives, but not tomorrow or next year, maybe in a few years. Mancini is here to stay."
