The three policemen, including two ASI, from bomb squad, who went to defuse the live bombs, were injured seriously when those exploded while transporting, a latest report said. The incident happened when the victims were making crude bombs in a house at Jainpur under Kumvira in Baishnabnagar of Malda,a district bordering Bangladesh. Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel, who rushed to the site, said the incident occurred when some people were manufacturing crude bombs during midnight last night.However, the surviving members of the victims' family said some miscreants hurled bombs at their house from outside, which the investigating officials rubbished.
