Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is football's version of Rafael Nadal, while Barcelona's Lionel Messi is more like Roger Federer, according to Italian footballer Antonio Cassano.
Cassano also believes that 17-time Grand Slam champion Federer is the best tennis player in the history of the game.
Fans continue to debate whether the former Manchester United star Ronaldo or Barcelona ace Messi is the best footballer in the world but Cassano believes that the Argentine is the best player in the history of the game.
"Messi is the greatest in the history of football," he told Italia 1.
"Many say that Diego Maradona did more to win a World Cup, but those were different times. Leo is the best, and that's why I named my son after him.
"He and Ronaldo are two great players, but different. If we compare it to tennis, Ronaldo is like Nadal, Messi is Federer."
