Release of a book titled ‘Ananda Yoga Bharati’ and a laughter yoga session marked the celebration of World Laughter Day in the town on Sunday.

The Laughter Yoga Foundation district unit organised an hour-long laughter yoga session at SR&BGNR Government Degree College grounds here.

Laughter yoga trainer M. Venkat demonstrated various laughter yoga exercises amid a fun-filled atmosphere.

The experts elucidated the importance of laughter in everyday life, and highlighted the efficacy of laughter yoga in enhancing physical, mental and emotional well-being. They explained how laughter yoga can help beat stress and stay healthy.

The organisers also brought out CDs highlighting the techniques and benefits of laughter yoga.

Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar released the CDs, the book and some posters on ‘Ananda Yoga’ on the occasion.

Several corporators of Khammam Municipal Corporation and members of the Walkers’ Club, among others, were present.
