MUMBAI: The police have stumbled upon a fake Wankhede stadium pass racket with the arrest of a 38-year-old man from Fort area on Sunday. The fake passes were of VIP Sachin Tendulkar stand .
The accused, Namdev Dedge, has been charged with forgery and cheating. A few fake passes have been recovered from him. The police said he had sold passes of Mumbai Indians versus Kolkata Knightriders match played on April 28.

The complainant had gone with his friends to watch the match. He said Dedge sold him four passes for Rs20,000. When he and his friends got into the stadium, the authorities told them that the passes were fake. The complainant passed Dedge’s cellphone number on the basis of which he was arrested.
