TV Show Review: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Team or OMG!

What an episode! Pretty much everything was fantastic. And yet, my mind is focused on one unique thing. Like, it just blew my mind, I didn’t expecting it and it just happened like that… Without a warning, without a ‘be careful, you’re shipper heart is going to explode with happiness’ warning. Who cares about Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D, Hive, the war between the Captain and Tony when this glorious thing happened?

FITZSIMMONS, I LOVE YOU!

I want a spin-off of them being adorable, nerdy and in love. Nobody needs plot anyway.

I mean, the episode was going well, Mack and Elena were making googly-eyes at each other after the rescuing of the Team by the Secret Warriors, Malick was in S.H.I.E.L.D custody, there were this little news about Hive being able to control others Inhuman that was making a bit of noise, everyone looked a bit shady, everything was great really, everyone was enjoying the episode and then, this. I don’t know when I’ll stop fangirling.

So, this episode was the first with the full team of Secret Warriors in action… and for now the last. Their mission was successful, they rescued May, Coulson, Jemma, Fitz and Mack from the hands of Hydra, Lucio (Medusa) was killed and they captured Malick. Not bad for a first mission! But, because what a TV Show without drama, after celebrating as they should have, Malick’s information (Hive can control any Inhuman in few seconds), suspicion arises. Joey, Elena, Lincoln or Daisy, who is controlled by Hive and killed Malick?

Well, obviously Hive knows where to strike to hurt S.H.I.E.L.D. Too stunned by seeing Grant Ward in front of her, Daisy didn’t have a chance to fight. If I’m not too afraid of the forgiveness of the Team when FitzSimmons will find a cure, her relation with Lincoln took a real hit (like him on the wall).

Still, Coulson’s reaction (how he yelled Daisy when Hive is calling Skye) when she destroys S.H.I.E.L.D base was pretty heartbreaking. Daisy was always the most passionate about the fact that Inhumans should be considered as threats and just be respected for their powers and her being controlled by an evil Inhuman might make her think about it once it’s all over.

(Daisy’s brain should look like that as well. Gross).

Malick had it wrong during his visions. Hive didn’t (directly) kill him. The intense pain was Daisy’s fault. Bye Malick, it wasn’t a pleasure.

Should we really need words for this scene (in the 6 GIF beneath)? I mean, I’m so delighted and in the same time, I want to thanks the writers, we only waited three years for that. And what’s three years in terms of ships coming together in TV? I’m used to wait four, five, forever for my OTP to be together. So, even if I’m sure that they are going to struggle a lot (they better both survive during the season finale), it’s so good to see them together. And once again, I need to emphasize how good Iain de Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge are stealing the show since season 2 with their characters. All their scenes, alone and together are always on point, the acting is perfect and they are literally the heart of the show.

In short:

- FITZSIMMONS IS CANON!!!!!

- FITZSIMMONS KISSED!!!!

- FITZSIMMONS ARE A THING!!!

- Daisy is controlled by Hive by the way.

Best lines of the episode:

Elena: What is, uh, Hydra?
Daisy: Kidnapping Inhumans, global terrorism … all-around bad dudes.

Simmons:May! You can’t even walk!
May: But I can still fly.

Coulson: I’ve met gods. Gods bleed.

Fitz (after kissing Jemma): I didn’t mean to push too fast.
Jemma: Too fast? Fitz, it’s been 10 years. We can’t waste any more time.

Fitz: Who needs space? Because I’ve got something magnificent right here.
