Ambassador XII emerged triumphant in the annual Indian Cricket Festival 2016 defeating Indian Community XII by five wickets.
Asked to bat first by Ambassador XII captain Sanjiv Arora, ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, Community batsmen scored 136 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Habib Un Nabi was top scorer with 24 runs, Mohammed Fuad scored 21 runs, while Abdulla and Jaseem contributed 16 runs each for the Community team. Shinod Mon, Tariq Kureishy and Ravi Shankar claimed a wicket each.
In reply, Ambassador XII achieved the target in 19.1 overs after losing six wickets. Tariq Kureishy and Sanaullah remained not out for 25 and 21, respectively. Habib un Nabi and Abdulla took two wickets each.
Ravi Shankar of Ambassador XII was declared man of the match, while his teammate Tariq Kureishy was declared best batman. Habib Un Nabi of Indian Community XII was declared best bowler.
