Chhota Udepur gets Nursing College, Sports Complex, refurbished Durbar Hall

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today dedicated three development works worth Rs.9.37-crore and laid the foundation stone of two development works worth Rs.19.10-crore, totaling Rs.28.47-crore, to mark the state-level Gujarat Gaurav Diwas at the newly created Chhotaudepur district.

She inaugurated a new Nursing College built at a cost of Rs.7.36-crore, a new Sports Complex costing Rs.87-lakhs, and the refurbished Durbar Hall of the erstwhile princely state of Fatehsinhji Maharaj rebuilt at a cost of Rs.1.33-crore. The Durbar Hall interiors made of lac of was destroyed in fire. The prince Virendrasinhji subsequently handed over the hall in decaying condition to Chhotaudepur Municipality in 1960. It was refurbished now.

She laid the foundation stone of the District Panchayat Bhavan for the newly created district to be constructed at a cost of Rs.17.76-crore, and also Nagar Seva Sadan at Rs.1.33-crore.

Those present on the occasion included In-charge Minister Jaydrathsinh Parmar, District Panchayat President Dhulkiben Rathwa, Nagarpalika President Sangramsinh Rathwa, MLA Jayantibhai Rathwa, prominent citizen Jashubhai Rathwa, In-charge Secretary R.C. Meena, District Collector Jenu Devan and DDO Saurabh Parghi.
