Man arrested after car crashes into house

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into a house in Cornwall.

The vehicle hit a property in Pasmore Road in Helston at around 06:00 BST, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Fire crews and paramedics attended but no-one was injured. The force is interviewing the man on suspicion of drink driving.

Electrical engineers were also called to the property after it emerged the vehicle had hit some power cables.

Resident Heather Howe was woken by the noise. She said the car had not yet been moved and emergency services were still in attendance.
