Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 1 2016 5:39PM KPCC Women wing president Laxmi undertakes desiltation workBelagavi, May 1 (UNI) Karnataka KPCC State Women Wing President Laxmi Hebbalkar engaged herself in river de-siltation work of the dried Markandeya river near Ambewadi village, about 12 km from here today. The Markandeya River de-siltation work was taken up by nine Gram Panchayats and 23 villages which are largely depending on river for irrigation and drinking water purpose through MNREGA scheme. While interacting with mediapersons Ms Hebbalkar said, ''About 2,500 agricultural labourers are engaged out of this more than 90 per cent of labourers are women.
