A dejected Gautam Gambhir credits Sam Billings and Karun Nair for taking the game away from them.

We didn't expect they would get 186 after the first over. We thought they would end up with 150-160. Credit goes to them, with the way Karun Nair and Sam Billings batted. 160 was a par score, 187 is tough on any wicket. We need to be more professional with bat, ball and in the field as well. If it is a good wicket, then it is difficult to contain. You have to get wickets at every point of time. Kolkata Knight Riders innings:

We didn't expect they would get 186 after the first over. We thought they would end up with 150-160. Credit goes to them, with the way Karun Nair and Sam Billings batted. 160 was a par score, 187 is tough on any wicket. We need to be more professional with bat, ball and in the field as well. It was an all-round show from Delhi Daredevils. Their batsmen Karun Nair and IPL debutant Sam Billings got them back on track after their early stutter. They stitched a 105-run stand. Brathwaite played a cameo in the end to make sure Delhi finished with a 180-plus score on board.

Zaheer led the show for Delhi with the ball by picking KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir in the first over. KKR kept losing wickets more often than not to poor shot making. Brathwaite shone with the ball as well picking up three wickets. KKR collapsed in the end losing their last five wickets in 10 balls to hand a 27-run win to the home side. (Points Table)

19.29 IST: OUT! Zaheer doesn't take long to finish. He picks up his third to remove Umesh Yadav. It's all over for KKR. An all-round Daredevils have beaten Gambhir's unit by 27 runs.

19.28 IST: OUT! Another outstanding effort from Iyer on the field. He hits the stumps direct from long on to dismiss Narine for 4. KKR 158/9 in 18.2 overs. Delhi a wicket away from their fourth win this season.

19.24 IST: OUT! Morris gets the big fish. Uthappa falls after making a 52-ball 72. The KKR opener tired to scoop one over the point but failed. KKR staring at defeat. KKR 153/8 in 17.4 overs.

19.21 IST: OUT! Smart work from Morris on the field. Jason Holder digs out a yorker from Morris but doesn't know where the ball went. He started running only to see Morris clipping the bails off. An ugly run-out. KKR lose their seventh man. KKR 152/7 in 17.2 overs.

19.18 IST: OUT! Mishra takes a stunning return catch. Russell smashed it straight and Mishra had great reflexes to get his hands to the ball. An important wicket for the home team. KKR 151/6 in 17 overs. They need 36 runs from 18 balls.

19.16 IST: Four! Uthappa tries to reverse sweep and manages to get a thick edge and the ball raises to the boundary through the wicket-keeper's legs. KKR 146/5 in 16.2 overs. 10 runs off two balls.

19.15 IST: SIX! Uthappa greets Mishra with a big one over mid-wicket. A nice way to resume after the break. KKR 142/5 in 16.1 overs.

Nine runs came from Shami's over. KKR 136/5 in 16 overs. They need 51 runs from 24 to win. These two men at the middle will be crucial to their chances.

19.11 IST: SIX! Russell released the pressure with a huge one after three dot balls. Still a good over from Shami. KKR 134/5 in 15.4 overs.

19.05 IST: SIX! Robin Uthappa brings up his fifty with a six over long-off. It's his second in this season. It was his 100th IPL six as well. The Karnataka batsman is key for KKR's chances here..

19.00 IST: OUT! One more for Brathwaite. Rajagopal Sathish hooks a bouncer straight to the deep mid-wicket fielder. Uthappa is running out of partners. KKR 107/5 in 13.3 overs.

18.52 IST: OUT! Zaheer's gamble pays off. Brathwaite removes Suryakumar, picks up his second wicket. The KKR batsman tried to clear the long-on bounadary only to find Shreyas Iyer mid-on. Brilliant catch. Kotla goes berserk. KKR 94/2 in 11.2 overs.

18.47 IST: Pathetic stuff from Brathwaite. He concedes 14 runs in a single delivery. Brathwaite erred with a no-ball and bowled a hip-over full-toss in the free-hit ball and was asked to bowl one more extra delivery. Suryarkumar made full use of the second free-hit by smashing a six straight over the bowler's head. 22 runs came off the over. DD 88/3 in 10 overs. Is this the over KKR needed?

The required run-rate is a daunting 11 now..

18.33 IST: OUT! Carlos Brathwaite picks up the wicket of Yusuf Pathan with a slower one. The all-rounder top-edged it and Amit Mishra at short square-leg took it safely. DD 58/3 in 7.5 overs.

18.32 IST: Four! Another well-timed shot from Uthappa. He pulls it on the front foot to the mid-wicket boundary. Brathwaite is upset with himself for pitching it short. KKR 57/2 in 7.3 overs.

18.05 IST: Out. Zaheer Khan gets the first breakthrough for Delhi Daredevils by sending back Gautam Gambhir early for 6. The KKR skipper trying to tuck the ball on the onside, gets a leading edge straight into the hands of extra-cover fielder.

17.59 IST: Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa have given KKR a steady start chasing DD's target of 187. Mohammad Shami shared the new ball with Zaheer Khan. Can the bowlers give Delhi early breakthroughs?

Just In: Kings XI Punjab have a new skipper. Murali Vijay replaces David Miller as captain. Miller didn't have the best of times with the bat, scoring a mere 76 off six games. Can Vijay revive Kings XI's fortunes? Punjab are languishing at the bottom of the IPL points table managing only two points from six games.

Delhi Daredevils innings:

Delhi should be happy with what they have done in the first innings. After losing two wickets in the first over, they have done well to finish with a 180-plus score on the board. Thanks to Sam Billings and Karun Nair who did the rescue act for Delhi. Both of them scored half-centuries (Billings on debut) to set a platform. Brathwaite's cameo in the end made sure Delhi finished with a good total. Kolkata Knight Riders would want their openers to fire in the chase.

17.33 IST: OUT! Pant falls short in an attempt to take two in the final ball. A superb over from Russell. He kept the batsmen guessing. Delhi finish with 186 on the board. DD 186/8 in 20 overs.

17.30 IST: OUT! Russell has his revenge. Brathwaite tried to tap it over the short square-leg fielder but doesn't get the middle of the bat. A handy knock (34 off 11 balls) from Brathwaite comes to an end. DD 182/7 in 19.2 overs.

17.29 IST: SIX! Brathwaite opens the 20th over with a six. Delhi cross the 180-run mark.

17.27 IST: Brathwaite keeps the strike by picking up a single in the final ball of Yadav's over. Delhi have six more balls. DD 176/6 in 19 overs.

17.24 IST: OUT! Umesh castles Billings. He has done well to come up with a bouncer after being thrashed for a six and a boundary in the over by Brathwaite. Billings' excellent knock on debut comes to an end, he falls for 54 off 34. DD 174/6 in 18.4 overs.

17.22 IST: SIX! This time, it's Billings. He gets a fifty in his maiden IPL match. He becomes the first man since 2012 to score a half-century on debut. Richard Levi had done it for Mumbai Indians. DD 163/5 in 18 overs.

17.20 IST: SIX! Brathwaite deposits a googly from Hogg into the deep-wicket stands. Brathwaite moves to 16 from just four balls.

17.17 IST: Skillful from Brathwaite. He has already hit two boundaries in two balls. End of an eventful over, two wickets and two fours in it. DD 145/5 in 17 overs.

17.14 IST: OUT! Another one for Umesh. He snares the big-hitting Chris Morris, who stole the show in Delhi's last game, for 0. This is huge setback for Delhi who looked set for a big total. DD 137/5 in 16.4 overs.

17.12 IST: OUT! Big wicket for Kolkata. Karun Nair out for 68 off 50 deliveries. The Delhi batsman was deceived by a slower one and was trapped in front. Good time to get a wicket for Kolkata. DD 137/4 in 16.2 overs.

17.11 IST: SIX! Karun Nair sends one over the long off boundary. Nothing wrong with Yadav's delivery but Nair made room for himself and slapped it. That brings up the 100-run stand.

17.10 IST: Delhi are pressing the pedal. 11 runs off Holder's over. Nair and Billings need one more run to bring up their century stand. DD 131/3 in 16 overs.

16.48 IST: Four! Billings drives Chawla through the covers to bring up the fifty of the partnership. Nair and Billings have steadied the Delhi Daredevils' innings after the early flutter. DD 83/2 in 11.2 overs.

16.47 IST: Nair and Billings aren't taking any risks but are keeping the scoreboard ticking. Seven runs from Hoggs' over. DD 77/3 in 11 overs.

Russell to continue, he is bowling from the other end this time. Sam Billings, the 24-year-old English wicketkeeper-batsman is in for Delhi.. Not the start the home team would have wanted.

16.21 IST: OUT! Narine strikes in his first over. Sanju Samson misses a straight one and gets trapped in front. Erasmus took a while to raise his finger. Samson is disappointed with the decision. DD 32/3 in 5 overs.

16.04 IST OUT! Big wicket this for Kolkata. Quinton de Kock fails once again, out for 1. The South Africa opener was surprised by the bouncer and he top-edged it. Brad Hogg caught it safely in the deep. DD 2/2 in 0.5 overs.

Poor shot that was from Shreyas Iyer. He played across the line and failed to make any contact with the ball.

Preview: Delhi Daredevils will look to build on their hat-trick of wins when they clash with Kolkata Knight Riders. Delhi's season began with a loss against KKR in the first leg and many feared another dispiriting campaign lay ahead for them. But they have creditably bounced back with three successive wins since then.

But that streak was halted in their last-ball defeat by Gujarat Lions. But the loss shouldn't demoralise Delhi who have been impressively led by veteran pacer Zaheer Khan.

In his last competitive action, Zaheer has used all his experience to build a fighting outfit that has been impressive in its all-round play.

Their batting has been led by South African opener Quinton de Kock. Having scored one of the three centuries of the 2016 tournament, he has shown unstinted stroke-making ability. But what will worry the Delhi camp would be his cheap dismissals in the last two matches.

De Kock's compatriot Jean Paul Duminy, the team's captain last season, has also provided a steady influence in the middle order, guiding the young Indian batsmen, particularly Sanju Samson who has been in form.

The batting appears a little short on experience but that hasn't been exposed so far. But Morris' big-hitting ability against Lions would have surely increased their confidence.

The bowling looks more secure with Zaheer and South African Chris Morris forming the pace attack. The spin department is also in secure hands with wily spinners Amit Mishra and Imran Tahir working their magic in tandem.

It will be interesting to see what combination Delhi chooses for the match with West Indies' World T20 win hero Carlos Brathwaite warming the bench for the last two matches.

Their opponents, KKR, are also coming into the match on the back of a defeat to Mumbai Indians. While they are placed second in the standings, two places above Delhi, they failed to defend a strong score of 174 against Mumbai.
