Shopkeepers fined for selling sub-standard food in south Kashmir

Srinagar, May 1 (UNI) An amount of Rs 12,600 was recovered as fine from erring shopkeepers for selling sub-standard and rotten food in south Kashmir district of Kulgam.
An official spokesperson here today said an intensive market checking was conducted in the Kulgam town by a team.
''During the checking operations, a fine of Rs 12,600 was recovered on the spot from the erring shopkeepers, 20 kgs of sub-standard food items and 50 kgs of rotten vegetables and fruits were destroyed.
