Attestation parade held at MLIRC

Belagavi: A total of 175 recruits of Group 5/15 were attested at Talekar Drill Square of Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) here on Saturday.
The parade was commanded by Sepoy Pankaj Jagadale while the parade adjutant was Major Rohit Jatain. Brigadier Pravin Shinde, Commandant, MLIRC, reviewed the parade. Soldiers took oath to serve and protect the motherland even at the cost of their lives.
The Reviewing officer awarded the recruits who excelled in different spheres of training. Naik Yeshwant Ghadge (Victoria Cross) Medal Trophy and Col RD Nikam Trophy for Overall Best Recruit went to Sepoy Pankaj Jagadale.
He was also awarded Subedar Honorary Captain Keshav Rao Talekar Medal, Colonel NJ Nair Medal and trophies for his outstanding performance both in drill and field craft. Major SS Brar Medal and Trophy for Physical Training was awarded to Sepoy Shrikant Bhosale. Sucha Singh Memorial Cup and Trophy for Outdoor Activities were awarded to Sepoy Maheshbhai Rathod.
Sepoy Vishwanath Mate was awarded Namdev Jadhav Medal and Trophy for Firing.
