4 caught for Rs 15L theft

A team of Ellisbridge police had caught a 17-year-old youth along with three others in connection with the theft of Rs15.25 lakh in cash from a residence in Ambawadi on April 26.

Ahmedabad: A team of Ellisbridge police had caught a 17-year-old youth along with three others in connection with the theft of Rs15.25 lakh in cash from a residence in Ambawadi on April 26. Police are yet to arrest the prime accused in the case, who is suspected to have more than Rs10 lakh with him.
Manoj Zaveri, a resident of Ambawadi, had registered a complaint for theft from his residence between 1.30 pm and 2.05 pm on April 26.
The thieved had stolen a suitcase and a bag containing Rs15 lakh and Rs25,000 respectively. BP Sonara, inspector of Ellisbridge police station, said that Zaveri had named Virendra Bhadoriya, a former employee, as a suspect. "After getting to know that Virendra and the other accused are in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, a team was sent to arrest them. While Virendra managed to flee, another accused, a 17-year-old youth was caught with Rs3.38 lakh," he said.
