Minors 4.30.16: Matt Oberste's tiebreaking homer lifts B-Mets

LAS VEGAS 7, TACOMA 4: Brandon Nimmo and Marc Krauss drove in two runs apiece. Nimmo is 6-for-10 in his past three games to lift his average to .260. The 51s have won five straight games. Box

BINGHAMTON 5, NEW HAMPSHIRE 2: Matt Oberste launched a tiebreaking three-run homer in the eighth and three B-Met relievers stranded seven Fisher Cats baserunners over the final three innings to secure Binghamton’s sixth straight win. After Maikis De Le Cruz singled to open the eighth and Dominic Smith walked, Oberste launched Brady Dragmire’s 0-1 offering just beyond the left-center wall to snap the tie. It was Oberste's first career Double-A homer. Luis Mateo had preserved a tie score a half-inning earlier by stranding two inherited runners. He ultimately earned his first Double-A win. Mateo allowed two to reach in the eighth before David Roseboom took over. Roseboom stranded both to preserve the 5-2 lead. In the ninth, Akeel Morris loaded the bases on consecutive two-out walks before inducing Roemon Fields to bounce out. B-Mets starter Mickey Jannis allowed two runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings. Smith had his team-best eight-game hitting streak snapped with an 0-for-3 performance. Box

PALM BEACH 2, ST. LUCIE 1: Scarlyn Reyes surrendered a tiebreaking RBI double to Casey Grayson in the sixth inning. St. Lucie's lone run came in the first inning on Kevin Taylor’s two-out RBI single, which plated Amed Rosario. The Mets went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded 10 runners. Their best chance to rally came when Tomas Nido led off the sixth with a double. However, Cardinals starter Ian McKinney struck out three in a row to complete his outing. The Cardinals had taken a 1-0 lead in the their half of the first when Darren Seferina opened the game with a triple and Danny Diekroeger followed with a double against Reyes. Reyes fell to 0-4, but it was by far his best appearance of the season. He limited the Cardinals to two runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings. He walked one and struck out five. Box
