Mother kills son: Anwin, a 10- year-old boy, bled to death after his mother slashed his wrist in Angamaly on Saturday. Tinu, the mother, also tried to commit suicide.
Though neighbours rushed both of them to a hospital, the boy died.
Warning to Uber taxis: The motor vehicles department (MVD) has warned Uber taxi service against charging extra over the prescribed amount. K M Shaji, RTO, has warned strict action against violators, including penalty and suspension of licence.

Theatre strike called off: The indefinite theatre strike proposed by Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation from Monday, has been cancelled. The decision was taken after the government decided to relax the last date for introducing the proposed e-ticketing machines.
