Gurgaon IT firm to start operations in Sinnar SEZ mid-May

Nashik: IB Technology Solutions, a Gurgaon-based IT company setting up its unit in special economic zone (SEZ) in Sinnar, has decided to commence operations by mid-May.
IB Technology Solutions is the second IT company after Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is setting up an innovation centre in the city, to establish its unit in the district.
Sources in Indiabulls told TOI, "We have given a 3,000 sqm plot to Gurgaon-based IT firm IB Technology in Sinnar SEZ.
The company has already constructed a building and is in the process of starting operations by mid-May. It will be the first company to be operational in the Sinnar SEZ. In short, the SEZ will be operational with the commissioning of this IT unit."
Indiabulls Industrial Infrastructure Ltd (IIL), a joint venture company between Indiabulls and MIDC, has developed an SEZ project spread over 2,528 acres. The land has been divided into processing and non-processing zones. The processing zones will be on 1,436.15 acres, while non-processing zones would be on 1,092 acres. A thermal power plant is being set up on the non-processing area. The land in the processing zone of the SEZ will be allotted to Export Oriented Units (EOUs).

Sources in the company said, "IB Technology's new unit in Sinnar SEZ will export IT software and related services to its clients in various countries. As per norms, we have a deadline of June 2016 to make the SEZ operational."
IB Technology is engaged in providing services to its clients across 37 countries. The company reportedly has an annual business turnover close to Rs 250 crore. The company is also providing software services to power generation plants in the country and abroad. The proposed unit at the SEZ in Sinnar will provide employment to 100 people in phases.
Besides IB Technology, six other engineering units are also coming up at the SEZ. These units will be of Japan-based Koso Group engaged in engineering segment, lubricant oil company A N Corp from Mumbai, Nashik-based engineering company Fox Solutions, food processing company Cogta Exports from Jalgaon, Chandra Bhaga Metals and Agrawal IMPEX Pvt Ltd from Sinnar. All the units have been allotted plots.
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board recently gave its ‘consent to establishment' to these six units, which are also expected to be operational within a year.
