The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) removed 76 more hoardings from different areas in the city.

Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) removed 76 more hoardings from different areas in the city. The land and estate department of the civic body has initiated the drive since earlier this week to take care of illegal hoardings that have mushroomed across the city.
A VMC communique stated that hoardings were removed from the Jetalpur Road, Ellora Park, Subhanpura high tension road, Rani of Jhansi Crossroads, Laxmipura Road, Gotri pond, Waghodiya Road and other areas in the city.
Smaller placards and boards put up on electricity, telephone and streetlight polls were also removed by the civic body.
The hoardings that were removed include those used for advertising, those of political parties as well as those for various events being held in the city. Sources said that the drive will continue in the coming days.
