Chelsea star Eden Hazard thinks fans have been quick to forget what he has achieved for the west London club. The 25-year-old midfielder has been widely criticised for his underwhelming form this season, but he has promised to bounce back in style.

The former Player of the Year winner scored his first Premier League goals of the season in last weekend's 4-1 win at Bournemouth, after he was booed by Chelsea fans earlier in the campaign. Hazard admits the fans are entitled to boo, but urged them to remember his title-winning form of last season.

"I thought the fans were booing because they didn't want me to be replaced," the Chelsea star said, according to The Mirror. "Supporters pay for their tickets and they want to be entertained. If they are not happy they are entitled to boo. But people mustn't forget what I have done for Chelsea."

Hazard conceded that Chelsea have underperformed this season, but insisted everyone at the club is working hard to recapture their former glories. "We are having a tougher time than normal but we will get over it. I never doubt my abilities," he said of Chelsea's recent struggles. "A lot of nonsense gets talked about my future but I have four years left on my contract."

The Belgian - who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain - said it is difficult to maintain consistently high standards throughout a career. However, he is confident of bouncing back from the disappointments of this season.

"I've long told myself that one day I would have a season like the one I'm going through," he shared. "Chelsea have not had a good season and neither have I. We are working hard to improve."
