Brother of Lebanon's interior minister dies after falling from balcony

BEIRUT: 60-year old Ziad Mashnouq, the brother of Lebanon's interior minister, died Saturday after falling from his balcony in the Ras El Nabaa neighborhood of Beirut, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The NNA said Ziad fell from his balcony on the third floor of a residential building located on Mohammed Al Hout street. He died immediately on impact.

While it remains unclear how the incident occurred, a source told Annahar that Ziad suffers from a blood pressure disorder that manifests itself in symptoms of dizziness, which may have caused the victim to lose his balance and fall.
