AccorHotels and Brigade Group, Bengaluru, has opened the Grand Mercure Mysuru on the new Sayaji Rao Road that witnesses the world-famous Dasara procession. Complete with as many as 146 spacious and con temporary rooms and suites, the hotel is located within close proximity of all major tourist attractions in the city as well as the central business district. a viewing gallery , over looking the processional path way. Chief Minister
Siddaramaiah inaugurated the hotel, along with
MLA Tanveer Sait and Ministers
RV Deshpande and
HS Mahadeva Prasad.
The opening ceremony was marked by a
Veer Ghasi performance. Speaking at the event, Chairman and Managing Director of Brigade Group,
MR Jaishankar, said, “Mysuru is a well-known tourist destination, where arts and culture has contributed significantly to the growth of the city. We are excited to launch a new luxury landmark in the heart of the city.“

Later in the evening, sand artist
Raghavendra Hegde narrated the history of Mysuru, while he also created the structure of the new hotel.
